Through my role as Training and Outreach Manger at Edinburgh Genomics, part of the University of Edinburgh, I organise, write, and teach short bioinformatics training courses. I learned bioinformatics relatively recently, during my PhD, and I feel this puts me in a good position to understand the concerns of other biologists tackling computational methods for the first time.
