I am passionate about genome biology. I am currently an Associate Professor in the School of Biological Sciences at Washington State University. My research focuses on the genomic basis of adaptation, with an emphasis on extreme environments. I often host graduate students and post-docs in my laboratory to learn high-throughput library preparation techniques and computational approaches for analyzing high-throughput sequencing data. I often teach at ConGen at Flathead Lake, Montana.
